Water, Quality Tests, & 9/20 Sham Repair App't

                                     Note: I have kept a dozen small jars of the water from July-October.  Because iron is a metal, it doesn't dissolve in water (or one's body) so they are identical to the time they were drawn.

            Kurt told me that he "doesn't want to do plumbing" any more but  "a cash job is hard to turn down." 
            Even his van  claims that he is a "Sewer & Drain Specialist" - not a plumber.

            Five Skies LLC was informed about the water quality 11 times:
            ■ in writing: 5/10, 5/20, 6/30, 8/5, 9/6
            ■ verbally by plumber: 5/19, 5/31, 6/17
            ■ Joey & Delbert saw the water in person mid-June, 7/16, and 9/11

            4/27/16:
            Drawing water from each tap and a quick glance into both toilet bowls, discovered when I moved in
            completely belied Nick's claim that the water was "clean & good."   Might be in the well, wasn't in the unit.

            The toilet bowl on the right (where I am now) is one year old.

            I could have bought a test kit from Home Depot, Menards, Walmart or elsewhere to do a test for iron.
            Instead, to ensure an impartial test result, I took samples of the water to a 3rd party for simple iron quantity test.

            EPA's GRAS (generally recognized as safe) level for iron = 00.3 ppm (parts per million)
            Water at the unit tested from 22.0 ppm to 2.0 ppm
            2.0 ppm - 22.0 ppm is 667%-6,667% OVER EPA's safe level

            NOTE: 'clear' looking water in this unit was 2.0 ppm - 667.00% over GRAS
            In response to my email of 5/10 where I wrote: "I’m also quite concerned re the water as it continues to be orange rather than the usual clear as seen in the picture of the toilet bowl. It is particularly disconcerting that the orange water morphs into particles that land on the bottom of the glass. An explanation and rectification of this situation is necessary."  Nick's reply shows no surprise, no horror at the condition of the water.  Instead, he claims "The water issues must be related to the pipes in the trailer itself and the new pipes should remedy that."   "Must be"  and "should remedy that" - doesn't support the claim that the new pipes were to improve the water pressure.  He claimed on 5/10 that he was "not aware of many of the problems...."  Obviously, he was aware of this problem given just the condition of the toilet bowls & the fact that he had already obtained an off-the-books plumber to replace the lines with no permit.

            On 7/01, 63 days after I move my business, my life, and my two cats a bit over 200 miles, Nick writes  "If the water remains unimproved, it may be necessary to replace lines below ground. ...may have to terminate the lease because we would not continue to rent the unit until that issue is remedied and it may take a considerable amount of time to remedy." They knew what was wrong with the water.  The toilet bowls I discovered on 4/27 disprove his claim of "clean & good" water in the unit.  Maybe the well itself is "clean & good" but rusted pipes are required to get the water from the well to the pump and more pipes from the pumphouse to the unit.  They replaced the unit's lines because it was a cheaper method that maybe(?) could have worked or they just hoped it would work.  Using a cash-job plumber with no permit also kept their cost down.  Improving the water pressure was a pretense (lie) as the improvement in water pressure was minimal to nil.

            Nick writes that repairs will be scheduled soon several times.  He claims the water quality is priority and other repairs are "moot" (7/03 email), "continued problems indeed need to be addressed soon" (excerpt 7/01 email)," the info is forwarded to Delbert & addressed as soon as possible (5/10 email). Yet, they DID NOTHING to attempt correction after cash-job stopped the installation (plumber was in jail on 6/13 on charges of felony stalking in Stevens Point).   There is no place IN a unit/house to put a single filter that will impact all water taps.  Think about where you would put "a filter" that would affect every water tap in your own house (bathroom sink(s) bathtub(s), toilet(s), kitchen sink, dishwasher, etc.)   IF possible, a filter on the unit's main water pipe would not have required entry into the unit. Given the amount of iron flowing from every tap, how often do you think a filter under the unit would have to be changed?  Daily? Twice daily?  Who would be responsible for that task?

               4.    9/20 Bogus Appointment
                      The information below documents the bogus appointment to install a "temporary" filter (after 4 1/2 mo) that would "hopefully hopefully help"

            I received the email of 9/12 (on right) from Joey after the deadline 4½ months after I moved in

            They’re going to attach “a” filter "in" the unit that affects every tap (?) to "see if that helps"?

            Oh, wait....forget that 9/12 thing because now Joey is going "back & forth with Pellner (sic) plumbing" on 9/16
            to find a "temporary" solution.   Temporary?  After 4 months & 21 days?  Temporary?  (email of 9/16 below on right)  


            The door is back-ordered? A week or two for arrival?? How much longer to install?


            Nick’s 7/03 “moot” email states that if the water can't be corrected: "the other issues are moot."
            Does that match up with Joey’s email of 9/12?  No.  
            Is it in accordance with §704.07(2)?  No.


            Schedule to address everything? When?  Arendt wrote that I claim they "artificially delay"? 
            I don't even know what "artificially" means in this matter.

            However, Five Skies certainly did ignore the necessary repairs.  Their appointment of 7/16 - when they walked away from the water displayed & said nothing - was followed by silence from all of the Five Skies representatives for 56 DAYS  (including my written request of 8/5 for expected completion date of repairs) until I just happened to see Joey on 9/11 at the property and had a 1 minute conversation with him (his dad told me he's shy): Joey said they were "having money problems"; they were trying to find a replacement door; he declined the mug of water I offered him.

            Nick writes that he is going to schedule everything (excerpts). 
            He wrote that he shared the info  with Joey 7/01, with Delbert on 5/10, and "shared" on 7/01.  
            Nick wrote on 7/03 that he would establish a schedule to "address everything."
            I never heard from Nick again.  
            If I had been informed of a schedule, it would be in an email.
            It isn't because I wasn't.

            Past deadline.
            Nick wrote in his 7/01 email that he could not guarantee more than 24 hrs notice 

            Here's Joey's voicemail:
            "A" filter that would "hopefully hopefully" help- after 4 months & 21 days. 

            Carpet? what carpet is he talking about? carpet hasn't been mentioned anywhere by anyone previously.

            Five Skies expected & received FULL rent for August.   Silence from Five Skies from 7/16 - 9/10.  56 days.

            At NO point, did they request an appointment to test or evaluate the problem.    They KNEW what the problem was BEFORE they rented it to me HOPING new lines would fix it as Nick wrote on 5/10 (excerpt): the "new lines should remedy that."  Nick's definition of the problem on 7/01:  We will determine how best to approach that situation if the need arises but if that is the case we may have to terminate your lease because we would not continue to rent the unit until that issue is remedied and it may take a considerable amount of time to remedy.  (underline added)

            My plans to move last week of September/first week of October were in place waiting final confirmation in the next few days in order to set specific date to constructively evict myself.

            Their plan?  Write an email apologizing for this debacle?  No
            They choose to contact an attorney to threaten

            That'll teach the old lady who has been waiting 4 months & 21 days for usable water, door, and windows!

            or 

            As Nick wrote in his 7/01 email:  they would have to terminate (my) lease if repair involved underground lines because we would not continue to rent the unit until that issue is remedied..." 
            and in 7/03 email:  if water can't be corrected other repairs are "moot" 
            Wisc §704.07(2), SPS 326.15, and SPS 326.25 disagree with him.

            or

            they just didn't want to do the repairs while collecting full rent.  (Bingo!)
            August full rent paid:  zero contact re repairs or anything else, zero done since 7/17.

            Let's choose the 2nd option as that is the choice made by Five Skies & their aiding & abetting scofflaw attorney, Patrick Arendt, as documented in their false claim of 10/14 for my eviction based on allegedly unpaid rent. Rent had been paid in accordance with §704.07(4) & the previous agreement with Five Skies for September. Rent was not due until October 15th and would have been late on October 20th.
            I was 100% ready & waiting with a fully charged phone to video the entire appointment on 9/20 at 10:00a.m.

            Having heard nothing from them at 10:00am, I texted Joey at 10:30 telling him I'd sent him an email (right).  This old lady was informed by the 20 yr old boy @10:34 am that she should wait for the men to be "done talking with him."

            After the coerced and bogus appointment of 9/20, Five Skies did not request an appointment to deal with any repair of anything. Other than the peculiar email from Joey that arrived 10/04 @ 4:20pm (below), I never heard from anyone at Five Skies again.

            I did not learn about the alleged family "emergency" experienced by cash-job, no-show plumber until 10/4 at 4:20pm when an email notification popped up as I was writing to/from Wood Co Department of Health.
            Gmail time stamped his email 9/20 @11:40am. His emails are on right; mentions reschedule but that never happened.  I never heard from anyone with Five Skies again.

            Wherever any of them actually were, no one showed up, no one cancelled, no one called, texted, or emailed to reschedule....
            old lady should just sit & wait for the men to be done talking.  Really.  


            Is it kind of funny that 20 yr old Joey thinks "off the books" = unlicensed?  Kurt had a license in 2016; he did not have a license in 2017. I checked after the first few no-shows.  Maybe renewing slipped his mind and he's been pretty busy with stalking a woman, getting arrested, court appearances, and all.
