Flooring Door opens into torn linoleum; and torn linoleum into hallway: 5/10 email photo
Click on each image of excerpts from my emails of 5/10, 6/30, and 9/03:
Laundry Connections Pipes installed? Never informed.
Laundry in unit was one of my few requirements as hauling laundry to laundromat with my physical limitations was painful & exhausting.
Nevertheless, that's what I had to do during all of my tenancy,
Granted: I couldn't have used given dubious water pressure with 100% probability of all orange wardrobe.
Outdoor water tap Plumber texted
that he "forgot" on 05/31. On 6/05, he promised to get it hooked up 6/06. Wrote he had a bad back. Didn't happen because he was arrested for felony stalking on 6/05.
He connected the outdoor water tap on 9/08 when he came back
after Nick received my letter of 9/03 on 9/06 about the sewage on my lawn since 8/22. 18 days.
Below, on left, water from that tap on 9/08. On right, water from that tap when I went back to clean the unit on 11/09.
Windows
My email of 5/10
provided 9 pages of window photos & how broken description (below)
My email of 5/20
provided a simple list of repairs including windows
My email of 6/30
described indoor temp of 90° - no a/c - windows don't open. 16 days later they drilled one window open; then it couldn't be closed. In a few months, I could have built a snowman IN the living room.
Nick wrote on 7/01
that this was the "first that I heard that windows do not open,..."
My email of 9/03
described the condition of the two living room windows. None of the other windows were returned to a normal working condition.
PLEASE NOTE: Governor Walker forwarded my letter of 9/26 to Michelle Reinen, Director - Bureau of Consumer Protection/DATCP with his instructions to file an expedited complaint.
While I won't say DATCP is a worthless use of time/energy, I would say it's close to
that. DATCP has no power of enforcement. When they collect "enough" info re any particular business, landlord,...well, to be honest I don't know what they do. Send a stern "don't do that" letter, maybe. How much info is enough? How many people need to be hurt before they do whatever they do...."depends."
After Nick & Arendt sent their bogus "responses," I received an email from DATCP confirming no enforcement; their recommendation: small claims court and "Have a nice day!"
